Funded project

Inclusive and Adequate Pensions for a Resilient Ageing Europe

FUNDING TARGET

Horizon Pillar II

Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity and Inclusive society

This project aims to advance the adequacy, inclusivity, and sustainability of old-age income systems across Europe. By integrating financial, demographic, and policy perspectives, it will develop evidence-based models and policy solutions to ensure fair and sufficient pensions for all, including vulnerable populations. Leveraging an extensive European network, the project will collaborate with governments (Austria, Sweden, Belgium, Spain), network for pensions such as European Pensions for the Public Sector, EAPSPI, and leading research institutions, ensuring access to data, pilot sites, and policy engagement. Through this multi-stakeholder approach, the project will co-design actionable interventions, strengthen social resilience, and provide policy-relevant insights to inform Horizon Europe initiatives and national pension reforms.

The ICF award will support visits to TU Wien and RPTU Kaiserslautern to strengthen collaborations for a European research proposal on the adequacy, inclusivity, and sustainability of old-age income systems. Visits will consolidate work across collaborators and allow focused time for joint research.
